Before you start
Switch the MCB off, then test every wire with the line tester before you touch it.

In plain words
Steps
Switch off and test
Turn off the MCB for the room, or the main if you are not sure which. Touch the line tester to every wire in the old board: the neon must stay dark.
Plan the board
Three switches (light, fan, socket) and a 6 A socket go on a 6-module plate. Light and fan run on 1.5 sq mm wire; the socket on 2.5 sq mm.
Set the box
Set the GI box in the wall recess, flush with the plaster, and bring the conduits into it.
Pull the wire
Pull red for phase, black for neutral and green for earth through the conduit. Leave about 15 cm spare at the box.
Wire the switches
Loop the phase from switch to switch. Each switch sends its own red out to its point. Neutral goes straight to the light and fan, never through a switch.
Wire the socket
Switched phase to L, black to N, and green to the earth terminal by the big top pin. Every socket gets its earth.
Tighten and close
Tighten every terminal screw and leave no bare copper outside a terminal. Screw on the frame and plate.
Power on and check
Switch the MCB on and try each switch. With the socket switched on, the tester should glow in one of the two lower holes only.
